WhatsApp constantly keeps updating its app for its more than 2 billion users worldwide.After a recent addition of Facebook’s Messenger Rooms support on WhatsApp web, WhatsApp is back in the news for a fresh round of features in order to provide smooth messaging and call experience to its users.Here are the few features that what’s app is going to roll out.
Last seen for select friends
WhatsApp currently allows users to share their last seen status with “contacts”, “everyone”, or no one.At the moment, you cannot share your last seen status with select few friends, but WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow you to do just that.
Disappearing or expiring messages:
According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks the latest updates on WhatsApp’s beta version has re-spotted a feature that allows users to send text messages that disappear after a set period of time.When the feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo, there were no details provided to the user.However, the latest update shows that WhatsApp may be closing up to the final version of the feature.
Multiple device support
WhatsApp has been testing multiple device support for months.Once enabled, the feature will let users log-in to their WhatsApp account in more than one device at the same time.
Currently, users can log-in to their WhatsApp account on a single device.Once the same account is logged into another device, it automatically logs out of the first device.
Self-destructing messages
This is yet another feature that is in the works for a long time.Just the way WhatsApp Stories or Status disappear after 24 hours, users will soon be able to send messages that will disappear automatically after a set time period.The self-destructing or disappearing messages feature has been renamed to Delete Messages and it is expected to come to the stable version soon enough.
Picture-In-Picture support for ShareChat videos
According to reports, WhatsApp is working on adding picture-in-picture support for ShareChat videos for its app on both Android and iOS smartphones.Once this feature is rolled out WhatsApp users will be able to watch ShareChat Videos within the app in the picture-in-picture mode as they watch YouTube videos.
