San Francisco, Aug 26 : Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that the tech giants next virtual reality (VR) headset will launch next year in October.
He continued to outline new social possibilities that would be made possible by facial and eye tracking according to the report "The ability to have the kind of eye contact in virtual reality," Zuckerberg said as part of the list of features "Have your face tracked so that your avatar isnt just a static thing however, when you smile or you frown or pout or whatever expression you are using you want to translate that expression in real-time into your avatar" he added.The headset, likely codenamed "Project Cambria" is expected to be "significantly" more costly than the current Quest that was recently given an increase of $399.
According to the report, the tech giant has previously declared that the device would be available by the end of the year.vc/ .
