Kathmandu 9 Sep : Nepal and India announced the holding of talks between Foreign Secretary-level officials in Delhi on September 13 and 14.The Nepali Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal is scheduled to pay an official visit to India on the 13th and 14th of September at the request of Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on Friday.
The meeting will take place after almost two years of absence.
During the trip Foreign Secretary is expected to have an informal meeting with his Indian counterpart, where the two sides will discuss various aspects of collaboration between Nepal and India the Foreign Ministry statement added.
Officials from both sides will examine the achievements made in two consecutive visits of the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to India in April, and an excursion to Lumbini by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May.
On the 13th of September the Foreign Secretaries will be having discussions on bilateral issues that cover the entire spectrum of the multifaceted collaboration between India and Nepal, in particular, looking at the progress made on the numerous initiatives and announcements that were made at the last high-level trip of the Deuba to India as well as Indian PM Modi to Nepal, in April and May of this year,, read the statement released by India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Friday.
