NEP has a global outlook and India-centric approach: K’taka minister

N.Ashwath Narayan stated TuesdayAs a chief guest at a seminar on "NEP Implementation: Challenges and Opportunities For Educational Institutions" organized jointly by the Education Promotion Society of India, Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Associations (KUPECA), and COMED-K he stated that the policy encourages all-round student development with a strong emphasis on research and innovation in education.The government has taken all necessary steps to implement NEP.It has focused on improving the curriculums of schools and higher education, and the management of educational institutions.He stated that the process for establishing multidisciplinary model colleges had already been started "In 10 years, the higher education system will change and teaching-learning will be student-centric.This is according to the NEPs objective.The government wants bright futures for students.

This is why quality teaching is so important."Ultimately, this will lead to building a healthy society," Narayan stated.
