Kiev 11th of September : Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that it is impossible to conclude negotiations on the ending of the conflict with Russia since it hasn’t come up with appropriate position, Zelensky said at the panel discussion that took place during the annual gathering of the Yalta European Strategy. “We would like to end the conflict but (our) capabilities and circumstances have changed.
(Our citizens are)) not wish to talk with terrorists.Even though one can communicate with terrorists, since they do know what they are looking for ” the president added.
Zelensky stressed the lack of guarantee in the Russian side will honor all of its promises.
“I believe they will not.Nobody is convinced (that they’ll).You shouldn’t be able to negotiate arrangements with them.” he said.
The President said that before diplomatic talks with the Russian Federation are made feasible and the Russian army must be withdrawn from Ukraine and Russia must “stop acting as terrorists”.
“In order to open a line of diplomatic communications with (Russia), (Russian leaders) must show their political will (they have to show) that they’re prepared to surrender the land they don’t own.Then , we can begin to explore avenues to allow certain diplomatic measures,” Zelensky said.
