National Award Winner for Lyrics expired

Na Muthukumar a Tamil Lyricist was fortunate to win National Award for his lyrics in Tamil demised due to Jaundice at the age of forty one years.

Muthukumar was as a cameraman in Balu Mahindras team for few years.

Subsequently he moved to Lyrics department and created many records.Muthukumar is the only writer who created a record of writing 103 songs in the year of 2012.

Lyrics composed for Saivam, Thanga Meenkal brought him National Awards.Muthukumar was a writer in demand for music directors like AR Rahman, Yuvan Shankar, Harris Jayaraj, GV Prakash Kumar apart from writing poems and novels.

Many are shocked with this news of his departing, in fact he was one of the most talented artist, his absence is a huge loss to film industry.Let his soul rest in peace.
