N. Korea expands online education to workers: State media

Seoul, December 27, : North Korea has begun to offer online education in major universities, as part of its efforts to educate "intellectual type workers", Pyongyangs media reported Monday.

The newspaper reported that North Korea is highlighting its efforts in developing the remote education system to assist workers with "modern science, technology," which will help them at work.According to Rodong Sinmun, the North started its first online course in education 10 years ago at Kim Chaek University of Technology.

The number of students who enrolled is steadily increasing.The newspaper stated that workers are motivated to learn more technology and contribute to their countrys wealth.
