Myanmar extends the suspension of international commercial flights to January 31

Myanmars Ministry of Transport and Communications extended suspension of international commercial flight until the end of January 2022According to Fridays Ministry announcement, this extension was done in an attempt to stop the spread of Covid-19 via air travel.

According to Xinhua, the Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment for Covid-19 issued an order extending the Covid-19 prevention period until January 31, 2022.This announcement also stated that the extension will apply to any orders, announcements or directives issued previously by union-level government bodies and ministries to stop the spread of the virus.

A Ministry of Health release on Friday said that Myanmar had reported 189 Covid-19 new cases within the last 24 hours.This brings the total to 530 834 so far.The death toll rose to 19,268 Friday with three additional deaths.So far, 508,232 patients were discharged from hospital.
