Muzamil Ibrahim: It’s great that OTT has helped shape the careers of actors

Mumbai, Dec 16 : Actor Muzamil Ibrahim says Special Ops is a turning point in his career as he shares his interest in acting since childhood.

He also opens up about OTT as a platform for nurturing talents.

"I have been working as an actor since I was a child. My moms uncle was a regional published playwright and poet, and he would make us work in his plays.

I remember performing for 10 hours daily sometimes, going from one school to another during my childhood days.Even today I rehearse and work on my craft sometimes for 8-10 hours a day," he says.

Slashing prices of subscriptions wont entice people to come watch shows if people responsible arent honest to the medium that this platform was supposed to cater to.It was for new-age filmmakers and actors, not the filmmakers and actors who have been written off by the public.I havent met a new filmmaker whose series was made purely on the basis of emailing his submission to a platform yet.Its all, who knows who, and how, for now," he shares."Its the industry, the filmmakers and producers who decide what they want to feed people, if its substandard talent they encourage due to the lack of their own creativity, people get used to whats been fed to them as theres no alternative to choose from.

Its great that OTT is instrumental in shaping up peoples careers the way it is," he adds.He doesnt complain about the year 2021, but hopes the next year will bring joy and prosperity to everyone.

"Thankfully, my family is safe, my relatives and friends are doing well.If you are alive, healthy and have food on your table today, you have every reason to be thankful.Im just grateful for everything.

Honestly, I dont expect much from 2022, at the same time a lot too.I keep it that way now.I was supposed to do a film in London last year.We were about to leave in August but then things went south. It feels bad.So, its better to keep your expectations low and hopes high," he concludes.

Nawazuddins comments about OTT are not wrong. If the people behind this platform arent truthful to their medium, then slashing subscription prices wont encourage people to watch shows.

This was not for actors and filmmakers of the new age, but actors and filmmakers who are already discarded by the general public. Its rare that I meet a filmmaker who submitted his work to an online platform.

He shared that its just "who knows what, and how for now"Its the producers, filmmakers, and the industry that decide what to feed the people. If its poor talent or a lack of creativity they promote, then people become used to being fed whats given to them.Theres not much else to choose from.

He says its wonderful that OTT plays such a vital role in shaping peoples career paths.Although he doesnt have any complaints about 2021, he hopes that the following year brings joy and prosperity for everyone "Thank God, I have a safe family and my friends are well.

You have everything to be grateful for if youre alive and well, have enough food, and are able to eat.Everything is a gift and I am grateful.Although I do not expect much in 2022, it is something that I am grateful for.Its the way I am now.Last year, I had been supposed to film in London. The plans were to depart in August, but things turned sour. Its awful.

Its best to expect low expectations and keep your hopes high," he says.#Muzamil #Ibrahim #helped #shape #careers #actors #Mumbai #Mumbai #London.
