New Delhi, Nov 30, : .Soon after Parag Agrawal (an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay) became Chief Technology Officer (CEO), of Twitter, Tesla founder Elon Musk and SpaceX founder Elon Elon Musk took to microblogging site to praise Indian talent in America. Musk stated that India’s talent is a huge benefit to the US.Musk made the comment while referring to a tweet from Stripe CEO Patrick Collison.
“Google, Microsoft and Adobe, as well as IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Palo Alto Networks, and now Twitter, are all run by Indian CEOs.It was amazing to see the incredible success of Indians within the technology industry.
It is also a reminder of the opportunities America offers immigrants.Collison wrote, “Congratulations Parag Agrawal!” Musk tweeted that the USA benefits greatly from Indian talent.
Parag Agrawal will replace Jack Dorsey in 2022 as CEO.Agrawal joins a select number of Indian-born CEOs leading technology companies in the US.
Sundar Pichai is the head of Google and its parent company Alphabet.Satya Nadella from Microsoft, Arvind Krishna from IBM, and Shantanu Narayen from Adobe are also included.
Dorsey will continue to be a member until his term expires at 2022 stockholders meeting.
Agrawal has been with Twitter over a decade and has served since 2017 as Chief Technology Officer.
“I have decided to leave Twitter as I believe the company has the potential to move on from its founders.Parag is a person I trust deeply.
His contributions over the past ten years have been transformative.I am deeply grateful for his talent, heart, and soul.
Dorsey said that it was his time to lead.

Dorsey was forced to resign in 2008, but he returned as CEO of the company in 2015.
Dorsey informed employees that he will continue his term on board of directors until May-ish, when he will also be leaving.
