Mumbai, November 22nd : .Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse -Patil said Monday that, in light of recent Bombay High Court observations regarding the Aryan Khan bail case, the Mumbai Police would investigate if the raid by the Narcotics Control Bureau on a cruise vessel was fake or real. Justice Nitin Sambre stated in detail that Khan, Munmun Dahameha, and Arbaaz merchant had been granted bail.He said there was no “prima facie positive evidence” to support their claims against the NCB on charges of conspiracy and common intention.
Walse-Patil stated that the backdrop of the incident will lead to the investigation by the police into whether the raid on Cordelia Cruise Ship, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, was fake or real.
Mumbai Police will conduct a second investigation into this case.
They are already investigating the NCB witness’s allegations of extortion against Wankhede on October 27.
The investigation is being conducted by a 4-member team under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police Dilip Sawant.They have already taken the statements of many players, including those of the NCB witnesses.
The NCB has also launched its own investigation into the matter that was vitiated by Wankhede’s allegations of allowing outsiders to manage the detenus in the highly publicized raid on October 2.
Nawab Malik, Nationalist Congress Party Minister, has been running an attack campaign against Wankhede, on different counts, including the “farzi” (fraudulent raid on the ship).He allegedly made an extortion request from Shah Rukh Khan for Aryan’s release and submitted fake documents in order to get a job at the IRS under a reserved category.
After the raid on the vessel, 20 people were arrested by NCB.Most of them have been released and are now in custody of bail.This triggered an international political uproar.
