Campaign launched by MP government to commemorate Vajpayee’s birthday

Bhopal : November 23rd, 2009 - The Madhya Pradesh government will launch a monthlong campaign to help people get welfare benefits.

It will begin on December 25, which is the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee (later Prime Minister) Atal Bihari VajpayeeThis decision was made at a Tuesday cabinet meeting, chaired on Tuesday by Chief Minister Shivraj Sing Chouhan.

Sources told IANS that the BJP, which had been mobilising tribes at various events over the past two weeks, has now decided to try to reach other sections of the state, particularly brahmin voters.According to sources, Chouhan instructed cabinet members present at the meeting to make sure that everyone gets the benefits of welfare programs.Cabinet ministers will examine all major development projects in their districts prior to December 25, as the Shivraj government observes Vajpayee’s birthday as "good governance" day.The cabinet decided that a huge event would be held at Patalpani in Indore, on December 4, to honour Tanya Mama (as BJP claims) who was also known as Tanya Bhil.Chouhan also asked the ministers to examine the arrangements regarding the supply of fertilizers, Covid vaccination campaigns, and procurement of paddy in the state.pd/skp #commemorate #Vajpayees.
