Rabat, Nov 29, : , Morocco has suspended all international passenger flights for two week due to concerns about the new Covid-19 Omicron variant. The suspension will take effect Monday at midnight, according to the Moroccan Monitoring Committee of Covid-19 in a statement.
It was made due to the rapid spread Omicron variant.This decision is meant to preserve Morocco’s achievements in managing pandemics, it said.
According to Xinhua, 116 Covid-19-related infections were reported by the Moroccan Ministry of Health on Saturday.This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 949,648, according to Xinhua.
The Ministry also reported one death from Covid-19 complications.This brings the country’s death total to 14,774.
