Report: More Indian mid-market companies move to Hybrid Cloud

New Delhi, Dec 8, 2008 : Hybrid Cloud is here and 74% of mid-market companies (among those that were surveyed) are currently moving to Cloud.This is a move that embraced the power of digital to make their business more flexible, adaptable, and scalable, according to a new report.
According to the report by software giant SAP India, 82 percent of mid-market businesses are shifting their focus away from on-premises applications.However, 46 percent of enterprises are using a Hybrid Cloud strategy.

The report evaluated over 350 Indian mid-market businesses with an annual revenue between Rs 500 crore and Rs 2,000 crore.

“The Indian midmarket is poised for a significant role as the country strives to become a $5tn economy.” Kulmeet Baw, President and Managing Director of SAP Indian Subcontinent, stated that SAP is committed to helping mid-market businesses in India grow digitally-first.

The findings also revealed that 68% of mid-market businesses plan to increase (5-10%) or maintain their IT spending in 2022.

Nearly 83% of enterprises are focusing their efforts on resiliency goals like business continuity in the country, while 50% of enterprises are adopting an integrated approach to employee experience and engagement post-pandemic, compared with only 36% of enterprises in pre-pandemic.

“2021 is the dawn of a golden era for small and medium-sized businesses.

According to IDC research, smart business leaders are investing cloud technologies that will help meet their future goals,” stated Subramanian Ananthapadmanabhan Vice President, SAP Indian Subcontinent.
