Chennai 7 Aug : Malayalam superstar Mohanlal who had the chance to travel to India’s first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC), IAC Vikrant, has described the battleship as “a real engineering marvel” and expressed his desire that she always prevails.In a post on Instagram to share his thoughts on the trip to the aircraft carrier Mohanlal wrote: “Honoured to be onboard India’s very first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) that is soon to be commissioned as Vikrant constructed in Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kerala.
“After 13 years of committed construction, she sets sail as an engineering marvel that strengthens the Indian Navy and speaks volumes about the capabilities of India’s shipbuilding industry.
“I am grateful for this amazing opportunity, particularly to the Commanding Officer the Commodore Vidhyadhar Harke VSM and Madhu Nair, Chairman and the Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited, for their warm welcome.
“Witnessing the incomparable characteristics of this machine inspires me to salute with awe everyone who is who are behind IAC Vikrant, the wonder.May she always win on the ocean!”
