Hyderabad, Nov 29, : Mohammad Ali Baig, a well-known theatre personality, has been awarded the ‘Pride of Telangana” award by Round Table India. Baig was honored for his contributions not only to theatre in the country, but also to Telangana’s intrinsic culture.
Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industry and Commerce and Information Technology presented the awards.
Baig dedicated the award to his son Sultan Ali Baig in his remarks.Baig’s wife, Noor Baig, a writer, gave birth to the baby boy two days ago in Hyderabad.
Baig, a Padma Shri awardee, was awarded the award in the art-culture category.
The award was presented to Dr Evita Fernandez (Chairperson, Fernandez Foundation), in the medical category.
Other awardees included Prajwala Foundation in NGO Category, Bajaj Electronics In Retail Category, Prof J Mahender Reddy, in education, Skyroot Aerospace, in start-up category.Mahima Datla in Biological E.in special category for women.Pista House, in food and beverages category.Dr Newton Kondaveti, Nucon Aerospace, in SME category.Shabbir Ali, Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, Dr G.Srinivas RaoAin administration services category.
Jayesh Ranjan and Dr G.V.were the members of the jury.Rao, Director AIG Hospitals, Kamini Sarahf, socialite and Lakshmi Manchu actress, and Manish Bhhartiya Director, Ratnadeep Retail.
The jury members recognized Dr Evita’s contributions in medicine and hailed her as a role model for the society.
