MK Stalin sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

MK Stalin was sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Friday.He was administered the oath by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Banwarilal Purohit.

On this occasion, along with Stalin, 34 other ministers were sworn in.Stalin welcomed the ministers who served in Karunanidhi’s reign to his cabinet.Stalin and 33 other ministers were sworn in at a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan this morning.Stalin included 12 newcomers along with seniors leaders like Duraimurugan, who had served as minister in Karunanidhi’s cabinet.

Stalin will hold several portfolios like the public administration, the All India Services, the District Revenue, the implementation of special programs, and the Home Affairs Departments and welfare for the disabled.

Stalin has given the departments like irrigation and mining to Duraimurugan, who was in charge of public services during the DMK rule from 2006-11.

Former Chennai mayor Subramanian PK Shekhar Babu is taking over as minister for the first time.
