Mitchell Starc did not bowl well enough to merit Ashes Test Place: Warne

Sydney, Nov 30, : Former Australian spinner Shane Warne said that Mitchell Starc, 31, is not bowling well enough to be allowed in the home team for Ashes Series.The series begins at the Gabba on Dec 8.

He needs to find some rhythm and some form.Its too important at Gabba (where the opening Ashes Test will be played).

Warne stated that Jhye Richardson (to take his place) is the best option.Starc took nine wickets at 27.55 for Australias title victory at the ICC T20 World Cup.However, he failed to take a wicket against New Zealand in the final, where he conceded 60 runs in four overs.Warne also stated that Nathan Lyons form had also slowed last summer, and that he should not be considered an automatic selection for the Ashes.
