Rescued from Mumbai after minor boy was abducted in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 30, : .A minor boy who was kidnapped five days ago from the national capital has been rescued from Mumbai by the Delhi Police, an official here said on Tuesday.
According to the official, the missing report about the 10-year old boy was filed by his mother on November 25, at Mansarovar Park, police station.After which, the cops took action and registered an FIR under Section 333, Indian Penal Code.

DCP R.Sathiyasundaram stated that they launched a massive manhunt at shelters, railway stations, and bus stands but to no avail.

He also stated that a second drug addict from the same area, Shiv Shankar alias Shiva went missing on the same day.

The police got Shiva’s number.The mother of the kidnapped boy called him.But the accused claimed that he was in Pathankot and didn’t know anything about the missing child.Later, he turned off his mobile phone.

The police were monitoring the call and discovered that the suspect was not in Pathankot but in Dharavi, Mumbai.

The police reached out to Dharavi social workers for assistance.The social worker informed police that Shiva had lived in Dharavi for four years and that he was back from Delhi two days ago.

He also stated to police that Shiva was seen in the area with a 10-year-old boy.

A police team was immediately dispatched in Mumbai to rescue the child from the Mahim railway station.

Interrogation revealed that the accused had kidnapped and sold the boy in Mumbai with the intent of meeting his drug needs.
