Monty Panesar is appointed talent scout by Middlesex

Former England spinner Monty Panesar was appointed one of three new Borough Leaders by Middlesex Cricket.

He will work closely with clubs in their boroughs to nominate and identify talent.The Borough Leads will play a part in the countys age group squads at the under 10 and 12 levels.

They will also be responsible for developing a winter training program to help develop young people in the months ahead of their participation in the borough fixture programme in 2022."Former England international Monty Panesar was appointed Borough Lead for the couny of Inner London boroughs.

He will make a huge impact in inspiring and motivating the next generation Middlesex cricketers.Middlesex Cricket released a statement on Tuesday stating that Panesar will take over from James Fielding, the previous Borough Lead.

Ayzaz Hussain, who has previously been Lead Coach across all age categories, has been elected Borough Leader for Ealing.He is also actively involved in his club, Ealing CC "Jim Clarke has assumed the Enfield/Barnet role, where he has already had an impact on the clubs in the area.

He has previously coached and managed different age-group sides for many years.The release stated that Jim Clarke is currently Director of Junior Cricket at Winchmore Hill CC, as well as being a Development officer at both Enfield CC and Southgate C.His knowledge of young players in the borough will be a great asset to the boroughs programme." The new appointments will be part of a network consisting of eight Borough Leads from the county.
