Microsoft’s new features on OneNote incorporates AI-powered voice commands

San Francisco, Aug 7 : Tech giant Microsoft has launched a new Dictate feature for OneNote that can use AI-powered voice commands that control dictation, for example, the ability to delete text or undo the last step.

" Sofia Thomas, Product Manager of Microsofts Office Voice Team was quoted as saying "Over the course of the next couple of months, well introduce new voice commands, as well as those which are available in different Office applications to One Note," it added.Dictate works with more than 50 languages and is an alternative method to input text in OneNote.

The feature is now rolling out to everyone who uses OneNote online.Its only available to Insiders using Beta Channel Version 2207 (Build 15427.10001) on OneNote for Windows.To start the Dictation experience in OneNote you must click the Dictate button located on the Home tab.Select the Dictation Settings button to alter your preferences.Start speaking to make notes.

Once youve finished taking notes then say "stop the dictation" or press the Stop Dictation button on the Dictation tab.vc/ .
