New Delhi, Dec 8, 2008 : Microsoft has released a sync application for Windows on Arm and Apple’s M1 Macs in an effort to improve OneDrive’s performance. In an update, the company stated that OneDrive sync is now available in public preview for native ARM devices.
The company stated that OneDrive sync is now available for public preview for both Apple silicon and Windows ARM.
To enable the preview, make sure you have joined the Insiders Ring and enabled the preview under OneDrive Settings About.
Mcrosoft will be rolling out this feature to Insiders ring in the coming days.
“This should improve performance of the OneDrive sync application, as the OneDrive process won’t run emulated on Windows Arm.The Verge reports that OneDrive users who have large files or many files will benefit from the 64-bit upgrade.
Microsoft’s OneDrive support Apple’s M1 Macs, and Windows on Arm is now available after Dropbox revealed that it’s developing its own native app.
Dropbox is currently supported by Apple’s M1 Macs, but an updated app will be available next year.
