Medak district collector proves that Etela occupied 70 acres of land

A survey has revealed that Jamuna Hatcheries belonging to BJP MLA Itala Rajender has occupied about 70.33 acres of assigned and ceiling land in Achanpeta, Hakimpeta suburb in Masaipeta zone, Medak district, said Medak district collector S Harish.

Jamuna Hatcheries illegally occupied a total of 56 farmers’ lands while the victims included 49 BCs, four SCs, two STs and one OC.It was revealed that the affected farmers had demanded that the lands be returned to them.

Speaking to the media at the Medak Collectorate, district collector S Harish said that a report has been submitted to the government related to this case.A total of 77.33 acres of the ceiling and assigned lands in Survey Nos.77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 130 in Masaipeta Mandal Achanpeta and Survey No.97 in Hakimpeta were illegally occupied by Jamuna hatcheries.

Also, the collector said that roads were laid on the assigned and ceiling lands and farmers were prevented from entering their lands.

He said that he had sent a preliminary report to the government following a complaint he received last April about the illegal occupancy of the lands.However, the court directed the authorities to conduct a detailed survey irrespective of the preliminary report on Jamuna Hatcheries.

RDO conducted the inquiry as per the court orders.The preliminary report revealed that 65 acres had been occupied, while a detailed survey it was revealed that the occupied land was 70.33 acres.
