New Delhi, Sep 1 : A final year female MBBS student was allegedly found to be committing suicide in her room in the hostel at Safdarjung Hospital in the national capital an official from the police said on Thursday.The official said that the police were notified of the incident at about 3.30 a.m.
The deceased was an intern at the Safdarjung Hospital.
“She was offered an accommodation in a hostel, in which she lived since April.
She took the most extreme step in the hostel.She created the noose with her dupatta.The room was secure from within.The door was smashed by her friends when they became suspicious.She was taken to an emergency ward, where she was declared dead.” the official of the police said.
The police have found the handwritten suicide note from her diary, along with two bottles of depression medications from her bedroom.
The family of the victim has arrived at the hospital and the statements of her friends were collected by the police.
The reason of the suicide remains a mystery.
