Marizanne Kapp helps Perth Scorchers lift maiden WBBL title

Perth, Nov 27, : A stellar performance by Marizanne Kapp from South Africa helped Perth Scorchers Women win their maiden WBBL title.

The final saw a 12-run victory over Adelaide StrikersKapp was a star with her bowling figures 1-25 and unbeaten 23-ball 31 as she batted for the Scorchers, who restricted the Strikers to 134/6 in a chase that lasted 147.The Scorchers had previously played in two finals, both of which were lost to the Sydney Sixers.The Strikers chose to field and struck at regular intervals.

Sophie Devine, who was the top-scoring batter with a 33-ball 35, led the innings.While the middle order batters had some good starts, they couldnt capitalize on them.

Scorchers finished with 146 runs in 20 overs thanks to Kapps unbeaten knock.The Scorchers won the match with a 6 over win by Strikers.

To revive the innings, Laura Wolvaardt, skipper Tahlia McGrath, and both the Scorchers put together a 65-run stand.However, both of them were out in consecutive overs which hurt the Strikers.
