Five people, including a Tripura police officer, are killed by a man in Tripura (Ld).

Agartala : , A man mysteriously killed four police officers, including his two daughters, in Tripura’s Khowai District.Police said this on Saturday.
Khowai District Superintendent for Police Kiran Kumar K.stated that Pradip Deb Roy (40), murdered his two minor daughters Mandira and Aditi shortly after midnight Friday, and then killed his older brother Amalesh Deb Ray, 45, when he tried to stop him.

“When our police team led inspector Satyajit Mallik reached Ram Chandra Ghat Village, Deb Roy attacked Mallik using an iron rod.The police officer later succumbed in the hospital,” said the chief of district police.

He claimed that Deb Roy later attacked an auto-rickshaw driver who was passing through a nearby street and killed Krishna Das, 45.Das was returning home from attending a social function with his family members.

Mina Deb Roy, Deb Roy’s 32-year-old wife, and Karnadhir Das (22) were both critically injured in the attack.They were later transferred to Govind Ballabh Pant Medical College & Hospital.

The police took the suspect into custody and began investigating the incident.He was taken into 14-day judicial detention by a local court.

Police officers stated that they are still trying to determine the motive for Deb Roy, a mason, to kill so many people.

A police officer stated that he would also medically examine the man to determine if he has any psychological problems.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the home of the slain officer and paid his respects.
