Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, Dec 8 : .A man killed his wife and two children on Wednesday.
He left a note saying that he was doing this to stop his family being converted to another religion. The incident occurred in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka.
The deceased were identified as Nagesh Sheriguppi (aged 30, Vijayalakshmi (26), Sapna (8), and Samarth (4).Police say that Nagesh had ingested poison in fried rice, and they both died from it.He is alleged to have hanged himself at his home.
Mangaluru Police Commissioner N.Shashikumar stated that Vijayalakshmi, the deceased, worked at Noor Jahan’s residence and had a close relationship with her.Nagesh mentioned in the death note that Noor Jahan tried to convert Vijayalakshmi.According to neighbours, Nagesh had asked Vijayalakshmi to not work there but stay at home and then assaulted her.The family members have not yet come forward to file a complaint.He explained that the police had taken suo motu a case for suicide abetment.
Nagesh had previously filed a missing complaint against his wife and children.
After a few days, the lady came to the women’s station and stated that Nagesh had harassed her.She also stated that she was willing to live with him if he doesn’t harass her anymore.Nagesh had apologised and taken them back.
According to police sources, a woman was taken into custody to be questioned in connection with this case.
Nagesh, originally from Bilagi village, Bagalkot district was settled in Mangaluru many years ago.His wife was a security guard and he worked as a driver.Further investigations are ongoing.
