Panaji, Nov 28, : .Madhuri Dixit, actress, stated that it was a great time for women to be in film. Madhuri was honored to be honoured at the closing ceremony of 52nd International Film Festival of India.Today, I am able to go to sets as an assistant director, director, camerawoman, or writer.
“It feels good to see them.Women are also seeing better films.
This is a great time for women to be in movies.She said that this is the most important change.
The actress spoke earlier at the event and stated that it was heartening to see that IFFI provides a global platform for Indian content creators and technicians, allowing them the opportunity to show the world the excellence of Indian entertainment.
The actress pointed out that it was difficult to make a film.She said, “It takes months if not years to tell a story to an audience.” I want to thank every filmmaker, artiste, and technician for their perseverance, and for having the courage to keep their dreams alive, and for giving us a chance at falling in love with their stories.
During her speech, the actress made a special mention of the contributions of women and their voices.She said that they “have become so integral for the growth not only of our industry but also of our nation.”
The actress pointed out that IFFI had started its journey this year by awarding Hema Malini, one of India’s most famous female actors, the Indian film personality and of the year award.She also said that IFFI had featured many movies starring women both behind and in front.
She said, “I applauded them for their conviction and commitment and for being an example to the younger generation female creators, writers, and actors as they work towards making a mark in this industry.”
