Rome, 26 Nov : , The French President Emmanuel Macron met with the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi to discuss finalizing the “Quirinale Tray”. According to Xinhua news agency, Italian officials stated that the Treaty will not only strengthen ties among the two long-time allies but also make it easier for them to work together in the European Union (EU).
The Rome bilateral talks were focused on several key areas: strengthening EU, commitment to Africa and the Mediterranean, transition towards the digital economy, better security policies, culture and education, and economic and industrial cooperation.
Friday will bring more details about the Treaty.
After clashes over migration and Libya, relations between France and Italy have been sometimes strained in recent years.
