Maa TV – License canceled

According to tentative reports pouring in from New Delhi Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting has rejected the proposal for renewal of Maa TV licences which happens to be a popular Telugu regional private TV Channel.

All the four sub groups of Maa TV Network - Maa TV - Maa Gold - Maa Movies and Maa Music licences have been canceled.

Reason for this rejection is said to be financial irregularities of the management headed by Maa Chairman Nimmagadda Prasad.This decision of cancellation is taken by the recommendation of Union Ministry under which CBI operates.

These channels are taken over by Star TV Group.Once licenses are transferred then Star Group will resolve all the issues.

Information & Broadcasting Ministry canceled renewal of 73 TV Channels till date.As of now 892 are existing in our country.
