New Delhi, Nov 29, : .Despite the protests of the opposition, the Lok Sabha passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 20201 by voice vote.

The opposition continued to demand a discussion.
Opposition members began to raise slogans immediately after Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister, presented the Bill.

Some left their seats and walked towards the well.All demanded a discussion about the Bill.

Om Birla, the speaker, stated that the discussion would be possible if the members behaved and stopped sloganeering.The members refused to relent.

The Speaker placed the Bill for voice vote, and it was passed within seconds.Despite the fact that the opposition continued to protest the lack of discussion, they continued to shout sloganeering.

The Lok Sabha was then rescheduled for 2 p.m.

Soon after, Supriya Sule, NCP leader, told mediapersons that “This is a dark day for democracy.” The government wants to do its own talk, but doesn’t want to listen to the people’s talk.

Opposition leaders’ claims were countered by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi who stated, “The Prime Minister has shown great heart and agreed to repeal three laws.” It was demanded by farmers’ organizations and the opposition parties.We accepted their request and introduced this Bill.

The opposition refused to cooperate and continued to shout sloganeering, causing a lot of ruckus.It was passed in the Lok Sabha.

Today, we want it to be passed in the Rajya Sabha.We appeal to the opposition for cooperation in clearing the Bill in Rajya Sabha.”

Jairam Ramesh, a former Minister and Congress leader, had tweeted this morning: “Modi Sharma wants to push through the 3 Farm Laws Repeal Bill today in Parliament WITHOUT ANY DEBATE.” The 16-month-old laws were passed without any debate.Even more is the way of repeal.The Opposition calls for a discussion before repeal.”

Union Minister Ashwini Choubey charged the opposition with deliberately disrupting Parliament.He claimed that opposition is not an issue.

Choubey spoke to IANS and stated that “when the government is repealing all of three farm laws, there’s no point in creating ruckus.”

He stated that Congress, which demands discussion, has always resisted it.The grand old party boycotted any discussion that was initiated.

These bills are: Farmers’ Produce Commerce and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation), Farmers (Empowerment and Protect) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, Farmers Essential Commodities (Amendment), Bill 2020.
