New Delhi, Nov 30, : After the Lok Sabha re-assembled at 2:15 p.m.on Tuesday, the proceedings were again adjourned until 3 p.m.due to opposition protests over various issues such as the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabah Members.This was the second adjournment of Tuesday. Soon after lunch was over, members of the opposition bench began shouting and sloganeering in protest at the government.
DMK MP A.Raja was sitting on the Chair and asked them to return to their seats so that the proceedings could begin.However, they refused to listen to the chair’s advice and continued to chant.
Within a few minutes, the chair called for the house to be adjourned until 3 p.m.
The proceedings of the house were also rescheduled after it gathered at 11 a.m.amid ruckus from the opposition members.These protestors were protesting against the suspension by the upper house of 12 opposition members for their alleged conduct during the monsoon session’s last day.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M.Venkaiah Naidu announced the suspension on Monday.The entire opposition was united against this move.
An earlier Question Hour was initiated by Om Birla, Lok Sabha Speaker, amid the din.He advised the Opposition Bench that they cooperate in the conduct of the business.
Birla stated that protests during Question Hour are incorrect because it gives an opportunity to raise important issues.
Opposition members protested against Monday’s passing of The Farm Laws Repeal Bill (2021) in both houses.
