Lok Sabha passes Lokpal Bill

Finally the wait has comes to end .Parliament today passed the crucial Lokpal Bill amid the din created by pro- and anti-Telangana members.

Members from Samajwadi Party and Shiv Sena, opposed the bill and staged a walkout in protest, as their counterparts from other parties, including Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and the Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj, supported the measure After the Lok Sabha reassembled at 12 noon Wednesday Law Minister Kapil Sibal moved the bill as amended by the Rajya Sabha to be taken up for consideration by the Lok Sabha.BJP leader opens the debate on the bill and said that the credit of bill was not belongs to either congress or any political party except an old man Anna Hazare.

"If at all anybody should be given credit for the bill, it is the old man who has been fasting (Anna Hazare)."Sushma claims After hearing the news Gandhian activist Anna Hazare and his supporters celebrated the passing of the Bill and Anna Hazare ended his nine-day fast accepting a glass of coconut water from two little schoolchildren.

Anna thanked all Mp’s for supporting the good cause."Other than the Samajwadi Party, I salute all MPs who helped pass the Bill," Anna said.
