Lingayat sex scandal Bommai says police are granted full freedom

Chitradurga (Karnataka) September 2.: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said on Friday the police of the state had been given the full authority to deal with the sex scandal that involved Lingayat seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru.

Sources have said that police are seeking five-day stay of the seer in question to conduct an investigation into the case.A little earlier in the day, a local court ordered the accused to 14 days of court-appointed custody.

The police have said that they must question and question the seer, and conduct mahajar hearings where the suspect is brought to the scene of the crime to be verified.Investigator DySP Anil Kumar has submitted a petition with the court in this regards according to sources from the police.
