Super Star Rajinikanths upcoming entertainer Lingaa featuring is releasing on Dec 12 on the eve of Super star’s birthday.
In the meantime controversy over the films story is not dying down.
Ever since the teaser and trailer of the film were released, "Lingaa" has been haunted by cases of plagiarism and controversies Lingaa faced yet another legal blow on Thursday when Madras High Court has asked the producers of the movie to pay ₹10 crore in cash .The order was passed on a writ appeal filed by a small time film maker K.R.Ravi Rathinam of Madurai alleging theft of his script for making the movie Ravi Rathinam, who had submitted his film story in a sealed cover to the court, submitted that if Linga was allowed to be released as per schedule tomorrow, his 47 year labour in the cinema industry would go waste.After hearing the plea the division bench passed the above judgment.
Meanwhile, the reports are coming in that the producer Rockine Venkatesh had agreed to abide by the court order by paying ₹5 crore as deposit and ₹5 crore as guarantee on time.The film is carrying many expectations as mass filmmaker KS Ravikumar joined with the actor third tiem after giving blockbuster films like "Muthu" and "Padayappa.
""Lingaa" is likely to take grand openings as Rajini enjoys a massive fan following worldwide.The actors last live action film "Endhiran" was a massive hit at the box office.
It remains to be seen if "Lingaa" will be able to perform better than "Endhiran’’.
