Lashana Lynch is set to portray the wife of Bob Marley in the biopic of his life.

Los Angeles, Aug 5 : British actress Lashana Lynch, known for her performance in "No Time To Die" was tapped to play the role of Bob Marleys wife, Rita, in the untitled Bob Marley biopic.

Like the casting of Bob the actor, a huge net was cast to finding the perfect actor to portray Rita including trying to find someone with Jamaican origins (Lynch was born in England but her family is from Jamaica).According to Deadline after several tests, including chemistry readings with Ben-Adir Lynch did not just win over executives, but also Rita and the Marley family who gave their approval for the casting "Deadline" further says that Rita, Ziggy and Cedella Marley will produce on behalf of Tuff Gong.Robert Teitel will also produce.
