New Delhi, Sep 11 : Reacting to the investigation order regarding the suspected irregularities in the purchase of 1,000 low-floor busses by the DTC the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday stated that the L-G has ordered an investigation into a matter which has already been probed several times.Delhi Lt.Governor V.K.Saxena on Sunday endorsed the Chief Secretary’s suggestion to transfer the complaint that was received from the L-G Secretariat into the matter of massive inconsistencies in the purchase of 1000 low-floor buses from the DTC to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
In a press conference, AAP leader Atishi said: “The LG is putting all kinds of pressure on agencies to initiate an investigations against Arvind Kejriwal or any of his ministers.This is why the L-G has ordered an investigation into a matter that has been investigated numerous times.”
She also said that he has made accusations against the government, claiming that “we have been involved in corrupt practices in the purchasing of buses, but he did not bother to ensure that not one bus was bought”.
“If the tender wasn’t made in the first instance and the bus wasn’t bought I am putting all BJP spokespersons ministers, investigators and ministers to explain how it possible to carry out fraud in this scenario?” she asked.
“The L-G and all the investigating agencies were required to submit a report to the Prime Minister on whether they were able to disrupt the progress being made by Arvind Kejriwal.The agencies were out of time, and the L-G made a huge error in picking up the wrong files and documents to start an attack.” the AAP leader accused.
“We are aware that he (L-G) has been forced to launch false accusations at Arvind Kejriwal, but he ought to at the very least study his facts before making an accusation” Atishi alleged.
