K’taka health officer who ‘flirted with’ fellow colleagues

Police said Saturday that Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka), Nov 27 : Karnataka Police had arrested a government-affiliated health officer for "flirting with his female colleagues in Mangalurus Dakshina Kannada District.

Ratnakar was taken into custody after a social activist filed a complaint at Mangaluru Womens Police Station.Social media has gone viral with photos and videos showing Ratnakar "flirting” with female colleagues in the office.

According to the female colleagues, he threatened them if they didnt cooperate with him.They also claimed that he forced them to pose for photos and took them on tours.Mangaluru Commissioner N.A.Shashikumar stated that Ratnakar was taken into custody.The police station of the Inspector of Women has reached out to the victims regarding the matter.

The victims colleagues informed the police that they would cooperate with police during an investigation.The victims stated that they dont want to file a complaint against the accused due to safety concerns.

Shashikumar stated that the victims statements will be recorded and that the accused would be brought to justice.Ratnakar was suspended by the Health department for his indecent behavior with female colleagues.
