Bengaluru August 28, : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai isn’t thrilled with his Telangana counterpart’s remarks that the border district of Raichur will grow when it merges in Telangana.In an excursion to the district on Saturday, Bommai was clear that not a centimeter of Karnataka territory will be given to Telangana.
Bommai has been described her comments as “ridiculous” Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar RAO’s reported assertion that Karnataka’s Raichur district will grow well if it was incorporated into the state of Telangana.
“Raichur has an airport, thermal plant and a thermal plant.There are a lot of other development projects in progress.I’ve allocated money through the Kalyana Karnataka Regional Development Board (KKRDB) and a lot of grants are in the pipeline” Bommai added.
In a note the fact that Telangana is a newly-formed state with its own part of development issues Bommai advised KCR to concentrate on the state’s core issues instead of looking at Karnataka territory.
On the 17th of August, KCR while addressing a TRS event had stated that he was impressed by the progress of Telangana the residents of Raichur in the neighboring state of Karnataka are requesting the district’s union with the TRS party-ruled state.
In the past video of Telangana minister T.Harish Rao who is also KCR’s nephew talking to a group of women in the border village of Karnataka has caused controversy.
In the clip, Harish Rao was seen asking the women about the facilities offered by the Karnataka government and the facilities with the facilities provided by the Telangana government.
