Anupama claims that KSCCW was transformed into an “body for child trafficking”.

Thiruvananthapuram : Anupama S.Chandran, who is fighting against the Kerala government as well as the support bodies for her childs recovery has claimed that the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare has become a vehicle for child trafficking.

She was charged with threatening to expel Shiju Khan and book her criminally for handing over her child without proper legal processes.Anupama, her husband Ajith and their baby have been fighting against the Kerala government to get their child back.

Anupamas parents were charged with having given the child to KSCCW without her consent.Both her father and mother are CPM leaders, and her grandfather Peroorkada Sadasivan (later CPM leader) was an impressive state leader.

Jayachandran, Anupama’s father and Smitha her mother were completely against Anupamas relationship with Ajith.Ajith was an older married man and many years younger than she.Anupama was also of different castes to Ajith.Anupama was pregnant prior to marriage.She gave birth to a boy.According to her, the child was given without any legal proceedings.Anupama (an ex-leader of SFI) spoke to the media in the capital.

He said that the KSCCW had given my child over to another couple, Andhra Pradesh, without any procedure and that even the State Adoption Regulatory Authority license had expired.A team of Thiruvananthapuram police officers took the child into custody at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.They were accompanied by a KSCCW official.

To determine the parents, the child will be brought back from Kerala by Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology.The District Child Protection Officer will protect the child and take care of him/her until the identities of his/her biological parents are established.
