Kishanganj is poorest district in Bihar: Niti Aayog report

Of Bihars 38 districts a Niti Aayog Report has revealed that Kishanganj ranks the poorestAccording to the latest report by Niti Aayog, five districts have 60% of the population in the rich category, while eleven have more than 60% of the poor.The Seemanchal regions minority-dominant Kishanganj has 64.75 percent of its residents living below the poverty line (BPL).Next are Araria (66.465%), Madhepura (66.43%), East Champaran (664.13%), Supaul (664.10%), Jamui (664.01%) and Sitamarhi (66.346%).Currently, 50 percent of the poorest districts are Munger (40.99%), Rohtas (47.50%), Siwan (40.55%) and Bhojpur (30.40%).The richest city in India is Patna.According to the Niti Aayog report 29.20 percent falls under the category of rich people in Patna.This is followed by Muzaffarpur and Gaya districts.
