Union Home Affairs Minister Kishan Reddy recently penned a letter to Telangana CM KCR asking him to review the HMDA master plan according to the current requirements. He said many complaints had come to his notice that the development plans in HMDA were not being implemented as expected by the government, from the people, especially the farmers.
He said that the people were suffering due to a lack of proper understanding at the field level or coordination with the concerned local authorities.
Minister Kishan Reddy also said that the farmers had also brought to his notice that the HMDA master plan was not in their favor and their interests were being damaged in terms of converting the lands into different zones.
The minister said that as the farmers have to wait a long time to convert their lands to other zones i.e.residential, industrial, commercial, etc, this is creating an opportunity for illegal constructions.
Kishan Reddy said that steps should be taken to construct bridges at Ghatkesar, Gowdavelli, Nagulapalli, and Shamshabad on the Outer Ring Road service roads where the railway lines meet.
In the letter, he stressed the need to complete service roads in Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, Narsinghi, Patan Cheru, Shambipur, and other places soon.
