Kinnar Akhara slams Kangana Ranaut’s remark, seeks apology

Prayagraj (16 Nov 2016) - The controversy surrounding Kangana Ranauts remarks that Independence was granted in 1947 as an alm has elicited strong reactions from the seers.

Laxmi Mahamandaleshwar, Acharya of the Kinnar Akhara has called Ranauts statements "wrong" and demanded an apology from Ranaut to all citizens.She also requested that she withdraw her statement.

According to Tripathi, such a statement regarding the countrys independence is an insult to the democracy and the constitution.Tripathi says that such statements regarding independence of the country are insulting to democracy and constitution "So many great freedom fighters of the country have shed their blood, participated in satyagraha and sacrificed everything they had in their life so that the country was freed from the slavery of the British.

"So many freedom fighters from this country sacrificed their lives to free the country from British slavery.Kangana Ranauts statement is an insult to the freedom fighters of the country," the head of the Kinnar Akhara said.

Kangana Ranauts statements are insulting to freedom fighters in the country," said the Kinnar Akhara head.Tripathi also said that it is not polite to use abusive words, whether intended or unintended, regarding the countrys freedom and that Ranauts statement was "seditious".

Tripathi stated that abusive language regarding freedom in the country is unacceptable and Ranauts statements were "seditious".No one has the right to make such remarks just to "gain publicity".

These remarks are not allowed to be made to gain publicity "Everyone had fought together for the freedom, whether they belonged to the Congress, Left, Sangh, or right-wing ideology.Everyone had worked together to secure freedom regardless of whether they were part of the Congress, Left or Sangh ideologies.

Everyone has an equal contribution in freeing this land from the British Raj.".Everybody has a part in releasing this land from British Raj." She also said that everyone has the right to exercise the freedom of speech in a democracy and political rhetoric can also be made, but the independence of the country cannot be associated and seen using the lens of a government or any political party formed before or after 2014.Also, she stated that all citizens have the right to express themselves in democracy.

Political rhetoric is also possible.However, the independent of the country can not be viewed through the prism of any government or political party created before 2014.

The Kinnar Akhara head also said that since 2014, the BJP government has been at the Centre and many states which is a positive thing and added that the same can also be said for most of the governments formed since the independence of the country.Kinnar Akharas head stated that the BJP government was present at many States and the Centre since 2014.This is a good thing.
