Kochi, Nov 19, : .The Kerala High Court ‘hauled’ Friday a Pink Police officer for her cruel behavior towards an eight year-old girl.

She accused her father of taking her phone.
As compensation for her ordeal, the girl approached the High Court to seek Rs 5 Million.

Pink Police, an all-women police unit, is part of the Kerala Police.It aims to protect women in digital, public and private spaces.

The court took up the petition to find out the actions taken against the lady police officer who was erring and stated that it cannot be considered a small incident.

Rejitha was also served with a notification by the court.

The case is scheduled for posting on November 29.

The girl filed a petition stating that, despite numerous pleas, nothing was done against the female police officer.Therefore, they applied for justice.

After public shame, she said that she was in shock and needed counselling.Her petition stated that the episode still haunts her.

Jayachandran, 38 years old, and Jayachandran’s daughter saw the trailer transporting equipment to an ISRO unit move on the main street in Attingal.

Jayachandran was accused of taking her phone from Rejitha who had found it missing suddenly.He must have handed the phone to Jayachandran’s eight-year old daughter as his accomplice, she even claimed.

The daughter humiliated her father and threatened to bring them both to the nearest police station.A large audience witnessed this.

Rejitha later discovered the phone hidden in the car.An onlooker filmed the entire episode.

It went viral after he shared it via social media.

Jayachandran approached Anil Kant, the chief of state police to take action against Rejitha.

His daughter was shocked at being publicly shamed.

Kant promised action and asked South Zone IG Harshita Totaluri to investigate.Rejitha was then transferred.

Rejitha was reportedly transferred to a better location, and no legal action was taken.

The family took no action against September’s pink patrol officer and held a sit-in protesting the inaction of the Kerala Secretariat for a whole day.The family moved the court after this was also ignored.
