He then abused her until she fell asleep. She claimed that Sajimon and another youth leader from the CPI-M, Nassar, circulated her nude photos on social media.

Two Tiruvalla municipality councillors were also charged by the police with having circulated the woman’s nude photo. She also claimed that a lawyer was involved in the circulation of her photos.

Sajimon was also involved with another case of sexual abuse in which he had impregnated married women and then tried to stop the DNA test report from being published by using his political power. He was made the Kottayai branch secretary by the CPM, and he was then removed from the position of a member of the local committee.

M.Krishnanunni from Kozhikode, a social activist and writer, said to IANS, “The CPM advocates for women’s rights and gender equality, and these are all farce.” They are putting such abusers into key posts.Party branch secretary is a key position for a ruling party because he will have influence at the local police station and influence key decisions made by the police.

The party knew he was an abuser, and had relegated his position to a local committee member. Why did they still give him a position as branch secretary? This indicates that he is close to the party leadership.

After a sexual offense was committed against the party leader, the CPI-M is now in disarray. The party district and state leaders are not available for comment.
