Goa CM says that they are keeping an eye on passengers in transit during Omicron scare

Panaji, Nov 29, : The authorities in Goa have been directed to keep an eye on international passengers arriving in Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Seeant stated Monday.He also said that the state government would meet to discuss the situation relating to Omicron, the new Covid-19 variant.
Sawant also stated that people should be cautious when dealing with those who have recently travelled to the coast state.

“We have always followed the central guidelines.

Tomorrow, we will have a meeting with the Secretary and Health Department to discuss this.The Chief Minister said that the Railway stations and Airport were alerted to reporters in Mapusa, 15 km from Panaji.

“We will be monitoring international passengers arriving in Goa.People should also be cautious.People from outside the state should be aware of these people and Goans should be careful,” he added.

The comments of the Chief Minister came at a moment when tourist footballs in the state were starting to pick up, despite Omicron cases being reported in different parts of the globe.
