KCR’s child files for nomination to another term of MLC

Hyderabad, 23 Nov : Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao filed Tuesdays nomination for the second term of Telangana state Legislative Council member.

Kavitha was accompanied by members of the ruling party as well as other leaders.She filed her nomination at Nizamabad district collector’s office.

Kavitha later thanked TRS, Chandrasekhar Rao and reporters for nominating for her another term as MLC.Kavitha pointed out that all Assembly constituencies in both districts have TRS MLAs, and 90% of the public representatives of local body are TRS.She was hopeful that she would be reelected by the people with an overwhelming majority.She was the only Chandrasekhar Rao woman to be elected to the Legislative Council last October.

This election was to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of a legislator who had switched loyalty to Congress before the 2018 Assembly elections.After suffering a shocking defeat in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, Kavitha was elected to Legislative Council.

In 2014, she was elected from Nizamabad to the Lok Sabha.Other TRS candidates have also filed nominations: Yadava Reddy and Tata Madhu.Patnam Mahender Reddy was Shambirpur Raju.Pochampally Srinivas Reddy received L.Ramanas, Bhanuprasad Rao, Dandevittal, M.C.Koti Reddy; Kasireddy Narayanareddy and Kuchumalla damodar Reddy.Tuesday marked the end of nominations from localities for 12 Legislative Council seats.
