Kavitha and 5 other TRS candidates were elected unopposed to the T’gana Council

Kavitha and five additional candidates from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi were elected unanimously to the Legislative Council Friday from local authorities constituentsDecember 10th will see elections for the six remaining seats on the Council.These constituencies are open to representatives of local bodies.

The December 14th election will see the counting of votes.Six TRS candidates received certificates from their respective returning officers on Friday.

They were elected after all of the candidates who had filed oppositional nominations withdrew from contest.Friday was the last day to withdraw your nominations.Kavitha was elected to the Nizamabad constituency.

Other members of the state legislature who were elected to the upper house include Shambipur Raju and Patnam Mahender Reddy (both from Rangareddy), Pochampally Shrinivas Reddy-Warangal), Pochampally Narayana Reddy (Warangal), Kasireddy Nayana Reddy and Kuchumalla Damodar Reddy (both from Mahabubnagar).Kavitha was re-elected from Nizamabad for a second term.

She was presented with the certificate of election by the returning officer and Nizamabad Collector C.Narayan Reddy.Kavitha was presented with the certificate by Minister Prashant Reddy, RTC Chairman Bajireddy Goverdhan Reddy, MLAs, and MLCs from Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Kamareddy.

Celebrations were organized by TRS workers and leaders to celebrate Kavithas victory.In October last year, she was elected to the Legislative Council with a large majority from the same constituency.

The election was held in order to fill the vacancy created by the disqualification a legislator who had switched loyalties to Congress before the 2018 Assembly elections.After suffering a shocking defeat in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency, Kavitha was elected to Legislative Council.

In 2014, she was elected from Nizamabad to the Lok Sabha.In six other constituencies, elections are now inevitable.Adilabads TRS candidate Dandevittal is up against an independent candidate.

Ten candidates are running for two MLC seats in Karimnagar District, including L.Ramana and Bhanuprasad Rao, the ruling partys candidate.Madhava Reddy, TRS candidate in Medak district is currently battling against Nirmala Reddy of Congress and Malla Reddy, an independent candidate.

In Khammam, Tata madhu of the ruling party is in dispute with Congress candidate R.Nageshwar Rao, and two independents.Four independent candidates are challenging Koti Reddy, TRS candidate in Nalgonda.
