Kanti Rana Tata took over as the new Commissioner of Police for Vijayawada city on Wednesday.Rana, who worked as Anantapur Range DIG, came on transfer as Vijayawada CP.After taking charge, he directed peace and security in Vijayawada city.
CP Kanti Rana clarified that special measures will be taken to curb crime in Vijayawada city.
He said blade batch crimes would be curbed in the city and special measures would be taken to control cannabis smuggling.Rana said peace and security would be maintained to ensure women, children and the elderly.
Kanti Rana Tata visited Kanakadurgam on Indrakeeladri after taking charge as Vijayawada City Police Commissioner.Ayala Governing Body Chairman Paila Somi Naidu and Executive Officer D.Bhramaramba gave a hearty welcome to CP.Special pujas were performed by visiting the ammavaras.Afterwards the temple EO handed over the relics, offerings and picture of the Goddess.
Earlier, Anantapur district police bade a hearty farewell to Kanti Rana, who was on transfer.
District SP Dr Fakkirappa Kaginelli led the function at the Anantapur Police Parade Ground.The AR Armed Police conducted the parade and paid their respects to DIG Rana.
Went in a parade observation vehicle and observed and admired the parade of armed platoons.Afterwards, the DIG was honored with flowers and a shawl.
