At the same time, Kangana Ranaut always shares a good rapport with controversies.She has recently played the lead role in the movie ‘Thalaivi‘ which is the biopic of Tamil Nadu politician and actress J Jayalalithaa.
The movie’s theatrical trailer that was released recently has been received quite well and has got a positive response from all corners.
Now the latest news is that ‘Thalaivi’ which was scheduled to hit the theatres on April 23rd has now been postponed due to the massive hike in COVID-19 cases all across the country and especially in Maharastra.
The makers of the film are keen to release the film in all the languages on the same day and hence they have decided to postpone it to a later date.
The makers released an official statement in this regard which said, ” As a team, we have sacrificed a lot in making this film and thank every member of the cast and crew who supported us in this challenging but remarkable journey.Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all languages on the same day”.
“But with an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone the release of Thalaivi,” the official statement read.
“Though we are deferring the release date, we are confident that we will receive as much love from you all then as well.Stay safe and looking forward to everyone’s support,” they added.Directed by AL Vijay, the film also features, Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, and Bhagyashree in pivotal roles.Vishnu Induri is the producer of the film.Keep watching this space for more updates!
